?Gilmore Girls star Alexis Bledel and Veronica Mars's Kristen Bell took the stage and compared their series, which will share Tuesday nights. Both are set in small towns, they noted, and Bell pointed out, "We both date hot guys named Logan." Replied Bledel, "But my Logan is hotter!"
Me: Yeah, most definately! Haha! Gilmore Girl's is way better than Veronica Mars, what is your opinion? Cmmnt and tell me!

Series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino has opted not to renew her contract and will be leaving at the end of the season ?and she's taking husband Dan with her. As I reported on Friday, the primary sticking point was apparently the length of Gilmore Girls' renewal. AS-P wanted a two-year pickup, a demand that Warner Bros. refused to meet since Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel are only on board for one more year. Instead, the studio was ready to pay them just shy of $5 million for a one-year deal, an offer that was apparently good enough to refuse. According to a statement released by Warner Bros., "While we are disappointed that Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino have decided not to stay with the show next season, we are very confident that Dave Rosenthal, an experienced writer/producer with the show, will make the transition seamless moving into the seventh year of Gilmore Girls. We want to thank Amy for creating and nurturing this wonderful series for the past six years and giving us one of the most memorable mother/daughter relationships in television history." Amy Sherman-Palladino reveals: We've got [Christopher] for a few episodes [next season]. I forgot how many it is, but we've locked him down for a few episodes. The show will absolutely be back [next season]. Source: The Ausiello Report
I have it on good authority that Lorelai-Luke are about to take a turn for the worse. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TVGuide Online
I've just been informed by my crusty Gilmore mole that Matt Czuchry has sealed a deal to return for the show's seventh ?and likely final ?season. Per my spy, Czuchry is committed to appearing in at least 13 of 22 episodes, the same arrangement he had this season. Although this is no guarantee that Rory and Logan will ride off into the Stars Hollow sunset together, it certainly bodes well for the young lovers. Source: The Ausiello Report
Here are some other subjects AS-P tackled during our brief chat last week. L&L wedding this season? "I don't know. It's very possible." Trouble ahead for L&L? "We like up and down courses. We don't like one straight line. So, there's going to be some troubles ahead, but we all know that Luke and Lorelai belong together. Whatever troubles that they hit, there's a deep belief that, at some point, these two people really should just suck it up and get it over with." Rumors that Kirk won't be back next season? "Bulls--t." Marty? "We're looking for the right spot to bring him back because we love him. We don't have it yet, but we are looking for it." Negotiations for Season 7? "We're nowhere. We're not in negotiations, we don't have a contract." Source: Ask Ausiello @ TVGuide Online
Will [Christopher's] five-episode comeback have an impact on L&L? "[It] will," [A S-P] teases, "but not in the way people are expecting." Source: Ask Ausiello @ TVGuide Online

There's little doubt Gilmore will be back in the fall. Not only is it, like, 13 viewers away from eclipsing Smallville as WB's most-watched show, but Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel are already contracted for a seventh year. And guess who's also on board for next season? Scott frakkin' Patterson. That's right; reliable sources tell me his deal just closed. Now, the only question is whether Team Palladino - whose pact expires in May - will be at the helm of what is widely expected to be the show's farewell season. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TVGuide Online
"[Gilmore Girls] is definitely coming back for at least one more year," says Dan [Palladino], but neither [he nor his wife] could confirm whether they'd be going on with it. Source: Entertainment Weekly [Note: The WB has not confirmed that Gilmore Girls would get a 7th season.]
Amy Sherman-Palladino has already written the final scene of the show (which will be between Rory and Lorelai) even though it's not known when the series will end. She hopes to end the show with Rory's Yale graduation. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TVGuide Online

Britney Marriage in Crisis (May 26, 2006) Britney Spears' marriage to Kevin Federline is reportedly in crisis after just 20 months.
Britney - who is already pregnant with their second child - has banished Kevin to a flat in the basement of their Californian mansion, reports the Mirror.
Britney's spokesman refused to deny claims that she thinks her second marriage is over and wants a divorce.
Even though she is worth more than ?5m, getting rid of Kevin may cost her as little as ?90,000 and a half share of their Malibu home because of a prenuptial agreement.
The paper quotes a 'close friend of Britney' as saying: "She wanted to wait, but their relationship has become so hostile she just doesn't see how she can make it work.
"Their relationship has totally broken down. Britney desperately wanted it to work and still does for the sake of their family, but she has had enough of him and the awful friends he hangs around with.
"But rather than move out, she has ordered him down to a separate flat in their basement. They have in effect divided their house."
Lindsay and Paris (May 17, 2006) They were never best of buddies, but news reaches us that Paris and Lindsay aren't even on speaking terms anymore.
Guests at Hollywood hotspot Hyde were shocked when a furious row erupted between the hotel heiress and the Mean Girls actress.
It seems Paris and her sis Nicky weren't impressed with being interrupted by Lindsay on their night out.
As Paris' rep explains: "Paris was having a conversation with a couple of friends.
"Lindsay approached her table and at that moment Paris felt she was being interrupted and didn't wish to speak to Lindsay.
"A couple of words were exchanged and Lindsay went back to her table.
"I can understand how other patrons in the club could have thought it had been a bigger deal than it actually was," he concluded, in a playing-it-down manner.
Perhaps Lindsay was trying to explain the platonic nature of her meeting up with Paris' ex, Stavros Niarchos, just days after Paris had dumped him...
Beyonce Hates Being Skinny
| 25 May 2006 |
Proving why we love her so much, Beyonce has gone out of her way to fatten up after shedding two stone for a recent film role.
Beyonce fasted for 14 days and then existed on protein shakes to drop weight for Dreamgirls.
"It was hard, I felt weak, but I did it.
"It wasn't healthy though. I didn't look like me at all in the film, which was the point," said Beyonce, 24.
As soon as filming finished, however, Beyonce took charge of her body.
"Immediately the next day I ate fried chicken, fried fish, French fries - anything fried - and the weight started to come on really fast and easy," she revealed. |
